
DianeV. Web Design Studio was founded by Los Angeles web designer Diane Vigil. As marketers who came to the Web in 1997, the "secret" of our approach has been not to concentrate on "web design" or "graphic design" but to refine and offer a unique combination of services and disciplines to support all of our clients' needs.
We enjoy a growing roster of local, national and international clients from small one-person companies to multi-million dollar corporations.

Diane authors two sets of informational web design and marketing articles which we've combined into Web Design Basics (now in Web Design Help), the DianeV blog and the new developedtraffic web industry blog, and has written for the JimWorld Gazette.
Known as "DianeV" on the Web, Diane served as a moderator/administrator at VirtualPromote/JimWorld, a high-visibility discussion forum for the web design and Internet promotion industries, taking its Site Review Please! forum to the popularity it enjoyed in the heady Internet days of the 1990's, written for the JimWorld newsletter, as a moderator at the cre8asite forums, and has coached numerous people to improve their web design and marketing skills. Diane and George also spoke at the Internet Marketing Strategies 2001 Conference in Las Vegas on subjects ranging from marketing surveys to increasing website success through usability.
Diane centered the Studio's focus on the simple but obvious concepts that a client's commercial website should represent the company well, make it more "known" and accessible to the public, attract visitors, and convert those visitors to customers.
Because these concepts require marketing as well as web design skills, our "edge" is that we don't single-focus on designing websites because web design can mean -- and usually does -- only the ability to "build a webpage". While design is a vital factor in marketing and sales, our real focus is on the results you get from your website. This means attention to enhancing your exposure, attracting new customers and increasing sales. With this approach, our clients do not later discover that their websites get no visitors or are too confusing to use or that their ad copy (text) doesn't sell.
Thus, we brought in other core disciplines -- art, design, writing, Web technologies, communication, sales and marketing -- to increase the effectiveness of our clients' websites.
A real life example of results
An example of our results-oriented approach is the revamp of one client's existing website. A new web design was created to appeal to her customers and make it easier for them to use while enhancing the presentation of her company and services. Our research also revealed two more sets of potential customers for her business. Working closely with the client, we smoothed out her existing ad copy so that it was more readable, professional, and put across the benefits of using her company. We added various methods of enabling people to contact her which would also give her the information she needed to evaluate their requirements. Lastly, we designed the website to rank highly in search engines.
Result? While this website was built five years ago, to this day it ranks highly in search engines, and has brought in significant numbers of new customers, allowing our client to choose those she wanted, and -- on a working schedule of only a few hours a day -- boost her income far above its previous level, well into the six-figure-a-year range.
Our combination of Internet marketing and web design services continues to serve our clients well by ensuring that their needs are met by one team focused on their strategies and results.
