Richard Ray Custom Designs

Chip Helgeson invited us to help design and build a website for Richard Ray Custom Designs, the home of a rather astounding collection of high-end hand-crafted custom lighting remarkable as much for its beauty and utility as for the fact that each piece is a clinic in Design.

We collaborated with Mr. Helgeson on the design, and incorporated and customized software that would allow him to upload and display currently over 700 items in an attractive quick-view format that enables both interior designers and their clients to browse the Richard Ray collection and to easily locate the items of their choice — saving time pouring over hundreds of catalog pages.

Since Richard Ray Custom Designs sells only to the design trade, the website is password-protected — but the collection may be viewed by contacting one of the designers or showrooms.

I wanted to have a web site which would appear on the first page of search engine results. I figured the best web site designers would also show up on the first page of search engine results. That is how I found DianeV Web Design. My strategy worked out well.
