JimWorld Moderator Team

Around 1999, we were asked to redesign JimWorld's Moderator Team pages. Also known as VirtualPromote, JimWorld is one of the most popular webmaster resource sites on the Web, and its team of moderators -- web designers, marketers, programmers and promoters from around the globe -- have spent countless hours helping others in JimWorld's online discussion forums.

Jim Wilson (the Jim of JimWorld.com) issued two directives for these pages:

• "Not frilly."
• "I don't like green."

We designed a layout that is simple and obvious, yet aesthetic and subtle, drawing the viewer's eye towards the material. The pages also had to accommodate varying banners across the top without disturbing the look.

Jim was pleased -- even though they are arguably green.

This page is kept here for historical reasons due to the enormous impact that JimWorld had on Internet marketing and the search engine optimization industry.

Sadly, Jim Wilson passed away in the spring of 2003, leaving a legacy that deems him "The Grandfather of Internet Marketing". I served as a JimWorld Administrator and Moderator for two years, overseeing the Site Review Please!, Visitor Friendly Site Design, and Graphics forums.
